Blood Trinity (Belador #1)

Blood Trinity (Belador #1) - Sherrilyn Kenyon & Diana Love
All her life, Evalle has been straddling the line between human and demon. Curious about her origins, but content to live in the shadows, she finds that anonymity threatened by escalating conflicts between species. Accused of a savage murder, she's forced center stage in what seems like the beginning of an Atlanta apocalypse. Before long though, her personal problems will submerge as she learns startling facts about a hoard of supernatural terrorists.

This book was perfect. I'm not gonna lie, this is my second time reading this book, but the first time was about 2 1/2 years ago and I'd forgotten everything pretty much and am trying to get myself back through the series so I can read Demon Storm when I get there. Anyway about the book.

Who doesn't love Evalle? She is an Alterant, half Belador and half, something else. Most Belador shun her because of what she is; it hurts her. But she still comes saving their asses when in a bind. It seems like everyone is against her, as she is running around New Orleans trying to find out who or what sent the demons that killed a woman in the way an Alterant would. And why did they want Evalle.

When she meets Isak she has to dodge and hide from the man who has vowed to kill all Alterants, and with Storm being all sweet and caring she has to decide who to trust, with what, and whether or not she can save the day. Or if she should turn her back on her tribe and save her own people - Alterants.

After almost three years, coming back to this series was like submersing yourself in a relaxing bath after a really hard day. It was just absolutely amazing all over again. Evalle is so kickass, I mean she never wants to take any help from anyone, she believes she's pretty much invicible which Tzader and Quinn and now Storm have a big problem with. If I was ever any book heroine; I think I'd want to be her. And as she fights for her life against the Tribunal, everything seems to get in her way. No matter which way she turns someone is either trying kill her or capture her for some unknown reason.

Plus Storm is another one of those if I ever could have a boyfriend from a book guys. He's so amazing, thinks almost everything Evalle does is chuckle worthy and is exasperated every time she refuses help, mostly because his jaguar really wants to protect her with everything he has.

I'll admit this wasn't one of my go to Sherrilyn books when I want to read her writing but I'm seriously considering putting this on my favorite Sherri shelf ha.

Absolutely worth the read, I am starting the second book and can't wait to keep reading my way through the series again. I'll be giving you a review of Demon Storm, when I finish with it, don't want to overwhelm you all with Sherrilyn books.

There is no steamy romance in this book (mostly because of Evalle's past) but don't worry, just wait it will come if I recall, it just takes some trust.

Rating: 10/10
